2010 PAA ALUMNI HOMECOMING REPORT
Alumni weekend is always like a taste of heaven to me and, I think, it is to many who attend. I, personally, get an endorphin high from visiting with former students---some of whom are like old friends that I only see once in a while. ---Loren Sutherland
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS AUGUST 18. ELEMENTARY BEGINS AT 8 AM, AND ACADEMY STARTS AT 8:15 AM, BUT COME EARLY TO GET YOUR SCHEDULE AND LOCKER COMBINATIONS!! IT IS A FULL DAY.
8th GRADERS
Parents, if you did not get en email or letter from Mr. Vixie regarding his trips and the canoe trip that begins on the first day of school, please come by the school on Monday or Tuesday of next week and pick up the papers you need. Thank you.
CALENDAR/BULLETINS
These will be ready by next week. Please note that there are already some changes. Mr. Retzer’s trip is not the same week as Mr. Vixie’s but will start on Sept. 12 and go through the 16th, no school on the Friday for them. The Grade 5-6 trip to Albion (both grades) will now be from May 23-26.
TEACHER DEDICATION AND POTLUCK
August 21 is the Teacher Dedication Service at PAC beginning at 11:15 AM. The annual potluck will be in Bille Park following the church service (around 1:15 PM or so)in the group potluck area. Don’t forget blankets and lawn chairs if you don’t want to use a picnic table. This is always a good opportunity to meet the staff, school board members, constituents and new families.
HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
The teachers have voted to change the Friday Hot Lunch to a Thursday Hot Lunch for next year. Please make note of this. The first Thursday Hot Lunch is on Sept. 26.
TUESDAY HOT LUNCHES
Junior & Senior parents may start signing up for next year. (Tuesdays) Call the office to set your dates, 877-6540. Limit is three dates at this time. Be sure to watch for notices on the bulletin board out front for the first Tuesday hot lunch, currently, Sept. 14 is the first one that has been assigned. Available dates are: Aug. 24,31; Sept. 7,21;Oct. 12; Nov. 2,9,30; Dec. 14; Jan.4,25; Feb. 1,8,22; Mar. 1,8,15,29; April 5,19,26; May 3,10,17,24.
FALL PICTURES
Our pictures are earlier this year, on Aug. 31. Fall pictures are on a pre-pay basis and there WILL be retakes on Oct. 19. Look for the order envelopes that will be sent home before the 31st.
